Tonight is the third night of Leigh-Anne’s UK & Europe tour in support of her debut solo album, “My Ego Told Me To”. Released in February to critical acclaim, the LP went to Number 3, matching the peak positions of the 2025 solo albums by her Little Mix bandmates, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards.
It’s an impressive, varied, skip-free record and so it’s wonderful to see almost the entire tracklist performed tonight (only ‘Burning Up’ is omitted.)
The pre-gig playlist featuring Tyla, Flo and, of course, Leigh-Anne’s bandmates perfectly sets the mood. When the volume goes up on Rihanna’s ‘Only Girl (In The World)’, the hardcore fans who have queued up in advance for their positions on the barrier already know that the artist is about to make her appearance.
From the opening moments, it’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into crafting a polished pop show that would easily suit bigger rooms than Bristol’s Electric. Leigh-Anne has utilised skills she would have developed from playing the country’s biggest arenas as part of her chart-topping girl group to deliver a visual spectacle that really adds to the sense of occasion.
The staging is minimal but used to full effect: a mirror adorned with the album’s title, dynamic lighting and a single backing dancer create a visual identity that feels far bigger than the room. In a venue this size, simply running through the songs would have sufficed but Leigh-Anne is committed to delivering the full pop star experience.
Unlike her previous solo tour, there are no Little Mix songs tonight, with the focus deservedly on her now impressive back catalogue as an independent artist. Every song feels like it should have been a hit single – ‘Revival’ gets the crowd dancing early and the energy does not let up from there. Her garage-influenced debut single, ‘Don’t Say Love’, sounds fresh, she brings members of the crowd up to dance on stage to ‘Tight Up Skirt’ before ‘Friends’ and ‘Most Wanted’ (a song I’ve not been able to stop dancing to this year) bring a carnival atmosphere to the night.
Vocally, Leigh-Anne is exceptional this evening, particularly during ‘Stealin’ Love’, ‘Me Minus U’ (her voice soars across the room here) and album highlight ‘Goodbye Good Morning’. You really appreciate what a treat it is to have an arena-level performer and vocalist in such an intimate venue.
The supportive and enthusiastic crowd is fully invested throughout the whole show which concludes with ‘My Love’.
Leigh-Anne’s show is a near perfect example of band-member-goes-solo done right; authentic, passionate and, above all, very fun.
